Assisi - Calendimaggio

3rd to 5th May

A commemoration of medieval and Renaissance life with processions, music, archery, flag wavers and crossbowmen!

Gubbio - Festa dei Ceri

20th May

Gubbio's "candle race" is an uninterrupted centuries-old tradition to celebrate the town's patron saint. The "candles" are three enormous woden structures each weighing about 400 kilos, which are carried on the shoudlers of the "ceraioli" and raced through the streets of the town to the top of Mount Ingino.
